Master of Photology

You wanna be better than the average photographer, right? Here's someting to remember, high quality equipment isn't going to make you a better photographer. Master the equipment you have. Numero uno, don't move around while trying to take photos. Better yet, lean against a tree, building, anything to keep from moving. If you've got time, use a tripod.
Be sure to use a polarizing filter. Nothing worse than taking the right photograph at just the right moment and bammo - it's all glare. Here's another biggy, hand held meters are better than any built-in camera meter. Oh yeah, you need to learn how to use it right, so follow the directions and practice. Sure, any photographer needs more lenses. But master the one you have now, before spending money on more equipment. When you are ready, get a wider angle lense and a longer lens. Then the fun really begins.
