High School 12th Grade - Subjects

For this lesson, choose a subject you can photograph a million times (be sure you are using a digital camera or this could be expensive) Now learn to photograph with every possible shutter speed, aperature and lighting. Make notes and compare the notes to your photographs. It could be your dishwasher, blender or a wonderful pair of socks. Just choose something and take pictures of it every day for a week. Try to see the differences from one photo to the next, looking for subtle differences. Right away, you'll begin to see the differences in photographs taken from different angles, lighting and detail. Try diagonals and S curves. Take more and more photographs and learn the differences. It will make your photography more enjoyable and satisfying.
